Summary

The proposal was to create openings to internal load bearing walls. During the site visit we noted that the existing attic joists will not have sufficient strength to take the purposed loads. We then advised the client to strengthen or introduce new floor joists to meet requirement in the current design standards.

During the site visit we verified the form of construction of the building and captured the necessary dimensions for calculation purposes. Structural design and sketches were provided for building control submission.
