Summary

We were commissioned by the client to carry out a structural assessment of an existing steel beam within the building. The client has concerns on the existing detail and would like to ensure the existing steel beam has sufficient capacity.

A site visit is carried out to capture the form of construction and dimensions for assessment.

Structural assessments are carried out to determine the capacity of the existing floor joists and steel members. Strengthening works and details are proposed to the underperformed structural elements.
