Summary
GCS was appointed as a subconsultant to provide structural engineering services to this project.
The client wishes to construct a new independent storage building within the site. The building itself is to be provided by a temporary building supplier. Our scope is to design the foundations to support the temporary structure and ground slab to support a pallet loading of 35kN/m², fork lift wheel load and vehicle’s wheel load.
In addition to the new independent storage building, GCS was also involved in the heat recovery project at the same site. The proposal is to convert the existing basement to house the machineries with a new mezzanine floor structure.
GCS provided the substructure design for the new building and new mezzanine floor design for the refurbishment, for tender and construction purposes. We were also responsible for responding to queries during tender and construction stage.
