Summary
GCS was appointed as a subconsultant to provide structural engineering services to this project.
This project was carried out in stages.
Initially we carried out a review of the existing structural analysis models provided by the client and provided mentoring services to the engineer responsible for performing the structural analysis of the existing portal frame structure.
GCS was then asked to perform an independent structural analysis and report to capture the capacity of the structure.
After carrying out the structural assessment, we were invited to attend a site visit to produce a feasibility study on introducing an AHU platform and walkway on the roof of the existing structure.
